The idea for @plantactive wear grew from a strong passion for animal rights that developed in my early twenties. I would never have discovered my passion to defend animals if it hadn't been for a major health scare in my family. My mother's cancer diagnosis eventually sparked a plant-based diet transformation for us all. There are very few things for which I am more grateful than this awakening moment that changed all of our lives for the better.

It wasn't an overnight switch but instead a gradual learning curve that eventually led me to become a strong advocate for animal rights. Four years later, with more experience and confidence in the vegan lifestyle, I was ready to spread the message further. I founded @plantactive.

During this time, I found a home in Vancouver City and immersed myself in the local vegan culture. Supporting this vegan community has become a priority for me. As a lifestyle brand, featuring ethical vegan apparel, we are committed to shedding light on the dark ways in which our society consumes and exploits animals. 

At @plantactive we see immense value in creating clothing that supports our mission to create an animal liberated world.  We all need to wear clothing; why not wear clothes that stand for something? @plantactive clothing both supports a purpose and promotes a world in which we would happily choose to live. Our hope is that more and more people will align with our brand and mission until eating plants becomes the new normal.
